PLOT: "No Escape"

FMC is victim of a serial killer. She is the only to one to have made it out alive, but her face was badly burned/mutilated in the process. She had to have many major reconstructive surgeries to correct her face, but does not look the same as she used to. Using that to her advantage since the killer was never found, she also changes her name and starts completely over somewhere new.

A year later, she has some sort of close encounter with a man. Somehow he gets close enough to her for some sort of scent to trigger her memory of the attack and even though she never saw the face of her attacker, she knows without a doubt its him. She doesn't think he recognized her, but now she's scared to death. What does she do? Does she go to the police even though she doesn't have any proof and risk him finding out who she is? Or does she ignore it; pretend like it never happened and go on with her new life?

Then she has another encounter with the man. Turns out he's the new [  ?  ] in town and she'll have to see him on a daily basis.

PLOT: "Fall From Grace"

An angel's duty is to guard and watch over it's charges everyday. Naturally, every once in a while there is going to be that one human who's life is so enchanting that even an angel wants to be a part of it. So the angel wants so desperately to be in that person's life that they gives up their immortality to live the life of a human, hoping they can find a way to fit in. There are several scenarios for this:


* Female angel sees how much love and friendship goes on in the human world and wants to be a part of that somehow. Either just to be friends with the human girl that she's in charge of or maybe be included in the family somehow. Or befriends human charge and falls in love with the brother/friend of girl, etc...

* Female angel falls in love with human male that she's in charge of and gives up her immortality to join him on earth. Or vice versa: Male angel falls in love with female charge.

* Evil Angel is so envious of their human charge that they actually devise a plan to try to take over their life. They get kicked out of Heaven or go AWOL. Maybe God sends down a few other immortal characters to intervene and end up saving mortals life.

* Devious angel who gets "grounded" from heaven for being mischievous while upstairs. Has to spend so much time as a mortal as punishment, but ends up liking their mortal life better.

- Witch doctor helps to resurrect someone from the dead. This person/thing comes back semi-normal at first. Then starts to crave flesh. Finally bites someone and causes a chain reaction.

- Group on an island. Gets bitten by some rare monkey thing or falls victim of some African Voodoo tribe legend.

- Small fishing town on island? Only way on/off is by ferry, which is how the story could end.... (they escape and blow up the entire island??) etc...

- still retain human function; slowly develop an uncontrollable desire to tear into human flesh.

- once infection is over, the military tries to hunt down the last survivors to make sure the virus is contained.

- Eating lunch at school when zombies hit the cafeteria. Everyone panics and a bunch of people get stuck in the school.Some are able to grab groups & make it out. Those that do head to each of their houses before escaping to grab their families & things.

- jogging at night in a dark alley and up ahead is someone coming my way......

- Works at a personal care facility. Sees one trudging up to the house. Grab as many supplies as they can. As they're loading the car they take out a single zombie w/a crowbar that's in trunk. After that one's down, 3-5 more show up, picking up pace & shrieking. Anyone else coming? .. Heads home, rounds up more supplies and doesn't know what else to do so starts to barricade home & tries to create a reinforced perimeter. Eventually that gets run down so they have to move from house to house, gathering supplies & picking up more people. Eventually even end up with a semi-truck that can house them all for the time being & also lets them travel from city to city looking for a perfect place to permanently settle.  [Fortified camp with cinder block bldgs. 10 acres or so with a stream for irrigation. Triple chain link perimeter fencing with a 50ft trench system. Barn animals & crops. As well for water. Ammunition & One rifle + handgun for each person. Solar Panels for power .... (you know, just a thought!!)]

PLOT BABY: car breaks down by old motel

Car breaks down on way home from business trip (?) There is a motel nearby so MC decides to stay until morning. Things get creepy. MC wants to leave, but has already paid for the night and knows they're being irrational, etc. Things get worse......

WRITING: stabbing dream - written in high school

He could hear the rhythmic breathing of the girl, could see her angelic face laying peacefully against the pillow. How great he would feel when he ripped the life away from her. He could almost feel the coldness of the knife through the black leather of his gloves. He walked slowly toward the bed, silently getting closer until he was standing above her. He looked down at the girl, her blond hair spread around her in a halo and raised his hand. The blade glinted silver in the moonlight just before it was brought down into the girl's stomach again and again. His heart was pounding, blood rushing as he plunged the knife deeper and deeper. He heard the echo of his laughter...

Brandon Trent sat bolt upright in bed, sweat drenching him. He glanced at the clock and saw that it was 4:30 in the morning. Take it easy, Bran, he told himself. It was just a dream.

WRITING: car accident - written in high school

The red Toyota flew across the four way stop, colliding with an oncoming truck, its entire side caving in from the impact. The small car began spinning, only stopping as it smashed into a telephone pole, shattering the windshield and crushing the driver and passenger inside as the car folded in half. The driver in the truck got out and fell to the street, bleeding from a cut to his head. Passers by stopped their cars and got out, some helping the man from the truck, others rushing to see if there were any survivors in the small sedan. There weren't. The smell of gasoline was heavy in the air and just as people started to retreat, there was an audible click and the car burst into flames. Policemen, fire trucks with their crew and ambulances showed up within minutes, yet nothing could be done for the flaming car or its inhabitants.

CHARACTER + PLOT: Kiyusa

Kiyusa - she has light brown hair and large blue eyes. She can transform into a doe. She, like a doe, is very timid and shy, although she's trying to get over that.

Possible PLOT idea: She, amongst other shape-shifting creatures, are captured & help captive until they are of use. Their captors force them to change into their animal form and are set free in a specific area that the captors arrange for "hunters" to track and hunt them down.

CHARACTER: Circe

Circe: she is sixteen and has white hair and sapphire eyes. Thanks to a strange genetic twist, she is able to read minds. She looks down on people without special powers.

PLOT: resurrection gone wrong

MC1 simply cannot bare the loss of her sister/best friend/mother/brother. So she frantically searches for a way to bring them back. MC1 gets a hold of a remedy/ritual/etc that brings back her loved one from the dead. Story could go a ton of different ways... 1) Person comes back normal at first, showing up like nothing ever happened. Then slowly starts to become hungry... until finally they're taking off a chunk of mailman flesh as he slips the mail through the slot..... 2) They could come back as something else entirely.... already a zombie that starts the ole' apocalypse scenario....


EDIT: Also can reverse this and write in 1st person... from the point of view of the character that was brought back from the dead. Start with them waking up in coffin and making their way back to home. See the reactions of people who know them, etc....

CHARACTER: Marco

His first name is Marco, I never came up with a last name for him. He has dark skin, black hair, brown eyes. He's about 35, medium height, appears to work out a little. He is a librarian. He is very unfriendly, and sends death glares across the library if anybody so much as coughs. He spends most of his time behind the desk scowling. He has a soft spot for small children and animals. He brings his dog to work with him every day, and everyone is too afraid of him to say anything about it to his boss. The dog is a black lab named Bookworm, is very friendly, and will grab random books off the shelf and bring them to people.

22 years old Has long dirty blonde hair, dark brown eyes, and a heart shaped birthmark on her left shoulder blade. She is 1/4 korean.
Olly never wears jeans, she owns two pairs of Stich onesies she bought off eBay, and enjoys hanging out with boys way too much for it to be healthy. She is very direct with people, to the point where, should a boy be ridiculous enough to say something like "I saw you underwear", she'd probably reply with "Yeah, it's pink, want a better look?". Olly likes to say that her brain is a slut, but her body is not; she is often found to be a bit rude, and is highly unapologetic about it.

She's very friendly and becomes buddies with a stranger very quickly. The one time she allowed a relationship to go beyond friendship she got burned very badly, and keeps herself aloof. She's very organized and practical. However, when it comes to her personal life, she tends to avoid trouble and hope it goes away. She also really likes children, and is taking classes to become an elementary school teacher. Her hobbies include amateur photography, hiking, and reading. In her original story, which was a fantasy, she had a limited amount of magic.

Joey has recently been outed as gay to his stepfather, and as a result, was brutally attacked by both his stepfather and older stepbrother, Tonio. (The stepfather is never actually introduced in the course of the storyline.) Following the attack, he moved his belongings from his stepfather's house and disappeared. At this time (that he knows of) he has no living family -- his mother died a year prior to the attack and he has no memories of any further family on either side. He's been living on the streets of Tucson ever since.

While living on the streets has inspired a rougher, "I can take on the world" mentality, he has a softer side. Too, due to the abuse he suffered, he's relentless when it comes to people -- especially small children -- being abused, and while he may not look it, he's taught himself to be more than capable at taking down a bigger target using any moves (fair or foul) at his disposal when he feels someone's life or safety is at stake. In rough fights, he carries something he calls a Smiley, a bandanna tied to a padlock, which he's more or less proficient at.

Chrystoph takes care of him like a mother- if you've read Maximum Ride, the relationship between them is a lot like that. In my story, he broke Chrystoph out of the science lab after she'd been captured, which left him with scars on his left arm and torso.

Elsie is a extremely clever, but she is also a power crazed maniac who will not stop until she has the top job wherever she works. she is more than willing to take you down to get there and has been known to try and sabotage rivals by throwing office implements at then across the room (think pencil javelins) and when she looses her temper, she likes to break valuables. All her rage seems to magically disappear whenever a superior who might promote her enters the room, unless she believes she can terrify them into doing it.

Silky-- a giant spider, the size of a Terrier dog or a Corgi. She can't speak english, but she can understand it. She's intelligent, friendly, and loyal; she adores her owner. Enjoys getting belly rubs and having her long, silky fur brushed. Has a habit of bringing her owner small animals that she's caught (she even gift-wraps them in spider silk).

* Ideally, Silky should have a loving owner. Like, an owner who thinks it's adorable whenever the spider brings him/her a dead animal, and will spend up to an hour rubbing her belly and saying what a "cutesy-wutesy little spider" she is! The owner should also be oblivious to people's discomfort around the giant spider.

Appearance: Eyes the color of gray skies after it rains. Brown hair that he never manages to get the curl out of, looking slightly disheveled at the best of times. Neatly trimmed mustache and goatee. He wears thick sweaters (in winter) and t-shirts (in summer) and faded jeans.

Description of past:
When Alex was 20 he fell in love with the girl of his dreams. When he was 21 he found her in bed with his best friend.

After a year of licking his wounds and learning to trust again, Alex fell in love with a psychology major with the most beautiful smile. She taught him to not be afraid of sharing his feelings and that seeing a shrink is a good way to resolve some of your issues. Six months later Alex arrived at his psychologist's office early and found his girlfriend undressed and under the Doctor.

Dumping the girl, and finding a new psychologist, Alex decided that if all women were just tramps and cheaters he could still spend time with them, but he wouldn't fall in love with them again. Since that time Alex has gone through innumerable girls and relationships that last no longer than a few months before he dumps them. Some girls only last long enough to be a one night stand.

Personality: He can be very caring, but because he has been burned so many times, he is cautious around new people.

Self-absorbed, romanticizes everything especially things morbid, especially suicide. Enjoys planning glamorous methods of suicide but never has any intention of going through with it. She doesn't talk much but is vain and puts a lot of effort into her appearance. She wears a lot of pastel pink. One of her hobbies is writing long letters to people that she will never deliver, just keeps in her notebook that is especially for her letters. She might write letters to her family or a close friend but usually they're to a stranger she hardly knows and has never talked to, or even someone she sees randomly passing on the street who she will never see again, but she comes up with a detailed idea of who this person is and becomes attached to them and writes letters to them. She really likes sparkles. She wears these ridiculous fake eyelashes that are lined with rhinestones. on the lashline if you know what I mean? In my story I started writing about her she burns down her own house thinking oh won't that be fun but then it ends up being sort of a reality check for her, but that's all optional.

[waking from coma] A bright light breaks the penetrating darkness. Sounds seem to stream into my conscience [into me as I regain consciousness], slowly at first until they come screaming/flooding in at full force. I launched my body upward, only to be pinned down by some invisible force. The blurred images around me sharpen into....A doctor and nurses struggle to keep me sedated as I thrash wildly about. I push them off of me with little effort. A crushing sound erupts from the doctor as he collides with the hard tile floor. I leaped from the bed, bulldozing my way through more doctors/nurses blocking my escape as I swung open the door. I race down the hallway. I don't know where I'm going but something in my gut tells me that this isn't a "safe" place.

PLOT BABY: gone camping

A group of friends went camping in the nearby forest/mountains/lake. When they get back to town, they find out that a virus had swept across the countryside and destroyed everyone and everything.

A group of friends goes camping in the nearby forest/mountains/lake. While they're out there, they see a meteor fall from the sky in the direction of their homes. They pack up and head back only to find that their sleepy little town has been infected/invaded and it's up to them to stop it from spreading.

FMC1 is on the run from serious bad guys. They end up in a car chase which results in a MAJOR accident. FMC1 gets injured but as she's dying, her soul jumps from her body into that of one of the other accident victims as they themselves die. No one but her knows it? Or maybe she doesn't even realize she has that kind of power? She wakes up in hospital "x" days later & has to figure out her new life. It could go a bunch of different ways. Either she was running from something supernatural & she purposely jumped bodies? or she could've done it under extreme stress for a first time and either remembers her old life and pretends to be new person? or she can have complete amnesia and not remember anything until later in the story....

CHARACTER TYPE: body jumper

Body Jumper - they are semi-immortal. Their "soul" can live forever, but it has to find a body to jump into before its existing body dies. The only way it can be killed is if the host body dies with the jumpers soul inside it.

PLOT: reincarnate of murder victim

FMC1 was in an asylum for 10yrs? At age 6/8 she was put in because she kept seeing a ghost who looked like her grown up. At 16/18 she gets out (and even though she's still seeing the ghost she's managed to convince people she's better). She starts a new school and meets bad boy/rebel MC2. FMC1 also keeps having these dreams about a young man & woman who were in love. She finds out that the woman in her dreams was murdered and the killer was never found. Come to find out, FMC1 and MC2 were both the reincarnates of the murdered woman and her "love". (maybe he killed himself after her murder?) Her "ghost" was the reincarnate of herself. She has to find out who originally killed her because the killer somehow knows who she really is and is going to kill her again.

PLOT: Camp NaNoWriMo!!

A millennium ago there was an evil demon King who ruled the continent. A band of humans who were very powerful magicians (I'm thinking something along the lines of calling them the Elders and there being 4 of them, each one representing a specific element; Earth, Air, Water, Fire) assaulted the King's Citadel in a last desperate attempt to save/free themselves. He is too strong to completely defeat, but they are powerful enough to "contain" (?) the King and his forces. Just before the inner fortress of the King is penetrated, he tells his second-in-command (?) that one day when the world is weak to search for a power that can resurrect the King. The demon somehow (?) escapes. The magicians finally battle the King and are able to do whatever it is that they do to him.

In the now present world, magic exists and it is all over the place, we just don't know about it. I am thinking that there are going to be 4 main good characters, each descendants of the 4 elemental Elders. They do not know who or what they are and have not come into their own powers yet. I don't know if they are each going to have specific powers or if it should be that they all have a little bit of everything (?)

My idea is that the key to the Kings resurrection lies within a talisman (?) of some sort that his essence was contained within and has been hidden for centuries. Now that it's time, the demon character has spent years searching for the talisman (or whatever). I don't know whether this demon was the Kings second-in-command or if I should make it possibly his son/daughter who was immortal (I could make him/her a body jumper so that their soul has lived this entire time but only because they've jumped from body to body, they can't live forever in their own skin, they have to take over the body of something living and cannot stay in it once it's dead, hence the having to find another body before it's time is up).

For the time in-between, the "good" beings of the fantasy world are now tracking down the descendants of the elders bc they are the only ones strong enough to protect the talisman (or whatever) and the demon is close to finding it.

So here's a couple of things I need to start off with:

* How was the King contained originally and where has "it" been all this time?? Was it a talisman or a group of talismans that combined resurrects him...maybe that has been passed from generation to generation and they each have one? Or something else entirely?
* I need a story behind the demonic immortal - ie; who or what it is and how it's managed to live this entire time. Does it know WHO each of the descendants are or does he/she have to figure that out too?
* I need background stories for each of the 4 descendants. I think I'm going to make 4 separate tales describing how they come into finding out who each one of them is.... OR ... do I combine all 4 stories into one novel, just switching back from character to character until they all intertwine??
* What is the final stand down? What happens to the "talisman" at the end?

PLOT: waitress gets job

A waitress stuck at job she hates ends up with a rather nice group of Brazilians in her station. They keep her busy but leave a great tip. After they leave she finds another $20 and a business card for a VP of a Cargo company. On the back of the card is a quick note thanking the waitress for the great help and to give him a call if she ever needs a new job...

there's the obvious Horror story version of this,

theres the Romance version where the card leads to a better job and meeting the love of her life,

there's the supernatural version where the cargo being shipped are demons being sent back to hell by way of magic door (and the job is less of a receptionist variety and more of a fetcher of demons)...

PLOT: raised from dead to solve own murder

[MC] was probably the most normal person you would ever meet, with nothing to significant about them. That is, until they fall victim to a psychotic serial killer. The police have become desperate to solve this case, and decide to do the unthinkable - raise the newest victim from the dead.

Will [MC] be able to solve his/her own murder in time? After all, the dead can't stay animated forever...

PLOT: cupid loses belief in love

FMC is a cupid that doesn’t believe in love. Actually, she just doesn’t believe real love exists anymore. After watching arrow-struck people cheat on each other despite confessing their love FMC has become so jaded to the idea of love she feels it’s about as real as unicorns. Which, as a cupid, is about as sacrilegious as breaking someone’s wings off or shooting a donkey and a human. FMC feels that her job is useless, that cupid arrows only hurt people and just give them false illusions of a very shallow love, and decides to go to the Big Boss (Aphrodite) and give up the bow. FMC does this knowing fully well that there are very few options for ex-cupid, especially those as young as her (1,800 years). Though as the Goddess of Love, Aphrodite loves all of her “little messengers” and doesn’t want any of them to give up on love or the bow, so she devises a final task for FMC to complete before she will let her quit. FMC must go to Earth for three months and interact with the humans like one of them, and while on Earth she must actively search for an example of what FMC calls ‘Unicorn Love’. If she finds it during the three month period then she will return to her job as a cupid (with a few additional perks), but if she doesn’t she is free to quit her job and do with her existence as she pleases. Not seeing much of a downside to this arrangement FMC agrees to Aphrodite’s conditions. Of course, FMC never planned on getting unceremoniously in the middle of Manhattan with nothing besides a backpack of clothes, a wallet with two hundred bucks in it, identification saying she was [Alias], and no way to contact the people upstairs. FMC must find a way to survive the three months on Earth while attempting to find that elusive Unicorn Love. Since after all, there are punishments if she doesn’t attempt her task.

PLOT: angels give up X to live with human warriors

A Long time ago a few warriors were close to dying on the edge of the battle field, fighting strongly for their country, so a few angels came down from Heaven to help heal them. But the men were so close to fading that they only saw vague blurs of females. But while they were down there the angel's fell in love with the men and when they returned to heaven, they decided that they wanted to stay with the humans, so they went to God. And he agreed to let them stay on earth as humans, but there was a catch. They had to give something up. Each one of them had to give up a big part of them to stay with the humans. CHARACTER TYPE: Gorgons

The Gorgons were 3 sisters. 2 Immortal; Stheno & Euralye and 1 mortal; Medusa (but could turn people into stone.)

What if, as in vampire lore, instead of being bitten by the vampire, someone was bitten by Medusa's snake... could they be made immortal?

PLOT: Neko, the cat boy?

This story idea is beyond my fix and can't escape my mind. I have this thing with making a cat boy (known as Neko boy in Japanese anime) into a superhero.

Here are the story details incase you need" story inspiration. There is three versions of the story:

Version #1 - (His name is Bram) His parents (Macey + Cameron) have been divorce for five-six years. And he has been seperated from his older brother (Brodie) for that long. For the past three years he has been traveling with his mother and boyfriend (Hans). While visiting the ruins of their traveling destinations. Bram accidently breaks an ancient artifact blowing purple mist around him. That same day he gets into trouble in the island and gets nearly killed. Macey, sick of him getting into trouble, decides to send him to live with his father. The night before he leaves a native girl (Tashi- daughter of his mother's friend) interrogates him on the roof about the broken artifact and he denies ever touching it. Then he is sent to his dad's city. Where he finds out his brother is away in college, dad is a detective/journalist, and (this just came to me) is dating a woman who is secretly a villian. He goes to a public school for the first time after years of homeschool. Meets an uninterested in being his GF girl and other friends. But he also makes enemies. Days pass and he experiences changes. These changes are causing him to change into what Japanese anime calls a Neko boy. And right on time to save him Tashi arrives. She confronted him one more time about the artifact and he confessed. Turns out the artifact was suppose to be somewhat of a guardian for the people and it contains a curse for who ever breaks it. Fashion decides to stay with him in that city to help him and (just came to me) partially because she thinks she loves him. She broke an artifact when she was younger along with her older sister (Talis)
She is either given the bird or wolf form which allows her to turn into that animal fully or partially. Talis is evil and though she is told the reason why her sister is staying with him is because she wants to experience different surroundings she suspects he is the one who broke the artifact. Being previously banned from her hometown for becoming a bounty hunter/assassin she wants to hunt him down if he is now a werecat/neko/cat boy. Fashion and Bean become superheroes in their city when evil scientist and mutated with superpowers villians take a toll on the city.

This was version #1. I have more to say on it but just message me if you get stuck or want more info.

Version #2 - can be a sequel to number one if you alter it a little. MMC1 is a journalist/potographer working for the city paper. He has recently moved from his parent(s) city about a year ago. While photographing the city buildings for a piece on the news paper (on the roof). A woman flies over to him and floats infront of him saying she needs his help. She collaspses infringement of him and wakes up in the hospital. He visits her to see if she is okay (having not told she was flying for her privacy's sake). And discovers they know eachother (but he doesn't remember). After her begging he decides to let her stay with him. (I'll make the rest up as I go) She is a part of this hero alliance called The Ultimates and the rest of her team are missing or dead. Before all this MMC1 had been walking home from a restuarant that he ordered a sandwhich to go in when he stops to tie his shoes, having put down his bag down and not watching it a brave cat steals it and walks into the alley. Not wanting to waste it (being his cheap self) he follows. There he finds an injured, supposedly dying man, and calls the cops. The man tells him he is sad he has not learned his lesson and he will now be curse. Which he still doesn't get after the ambulance takes him until he wakes up the next day a cat boy. Now there either could be a past bad experience with cats in which he should of learned a lesson from or this could be Bean getting back his powers after losing them in the last version. And the girl could be a changed Tashi who before the beginning of the story he hasn't heard from in a while. Anyways, The woman that fell needs MMC1's help.

Version #3 : Could be a trilogy? Lol. No it doesn't have to be. The M/FMC could be Bram's and either Fashion/girl from book one/another woman's son/daughter. And this one will be short. The story starts when the MC comes home from school to find that no one is apartment home. The MC goes to his/her uncle's apartment to stay just as he is heading out. He tells the MC that he is off to do some errands but actually is off to a meeting with villians who, now that there is no sign of the Superheroes are planning on overruning the city with villians. He returns at night after a heist and stealing a couple of things as well as a medallian. Throwing the bag on the sofa the medallion necklace falls inside the MC's bookbag. And is found the next day when the MC skips school. She/he puts it on and discovers it has powers. And well you can guess where this is going. She becomes a superhero.

CHARACTER TYPE: dream catcher

MC1 (I called her Nora, but it doesn't have to be female or Nora) is the dreams catcher. Whenever s/he is rather cheerful and gets enough sleep, the people around her/him have good dreams. Whenever s/he starts having negative thoughts (especially at night) s/he causes the people around her/him to have nightmares. S/he can or cannot be conscious of this skill (your choice). So when s/he decides to start sneaking out and be a rebellious teenager (think iceblocking etc), the people around MC1 start having nightmares. Conditions become even worse when these nightmares become real...

PLOT: Lipstick killer

Lipstick


2011 NaNo attempt. I know I'll never write it.

Nothing ever happened in Hempdell, until some lunatic decided to start killing young women and dump their bodies at various local docks, applying a fresh coat of bright red lipstick to them before disappearing until the next time.

Oliver Conway, the detective inspector for Hempdell Valley, has no experience in leading a murder investigation, head office are offering no help and the investigation has no leads to go on.

Even as the investigation falls to pieces, Conway becomes increasingly convinced that a local shop-owner is the killer. There is no evidence for it, no motive that he can find – the man even had alibis! Yet Conway remains sure of his suspicion that he has found the Lipstick Killer. He sets out on a lone mission to prove it, a mission that will prove to have devastating consequences...

In my head, the actual Lipstick Killer is the local shop-owner's younger sister, who is getting revenge on the girls that bullied her in school. She uses lipstick that she steals from his shop, which is what leads Conway to the shop-owner. You can take or leave that twist.
