OBJECT: Magical picture frame

You find a magical picture frame that brings whatever photograph is in it to life... or at least full movie motion.

[idea] would be good to have for police who are trying to solve a murder. If they had any photo evidence, it could show the killer in the act or at least get them more to go on.

CHARACTER: tween abandoned by guardian

Age: ?

Backstory: A man and woman in a clan (of whichever species you make them) were both pre-arranged to be married to other people. This is how it was in their culture. But being deeply in love with each other, and not wanting to marry their chosen partners, ran away together. They were immediately known as deserters and left themselves open to a life of hiding, as it was only a matter of time before they were hunted down and killed as punishment for breaking the traditions. They managed to escape for a few years and in that time the woman got pregnant and had a baby. When the MC (baby) was 2 years old, its parents were found & killed and they were hidden with a trusted human friend. Everything was fine until MC turned 13 and horns? (open for anything) started to appear. This made it impossible for to keep the MC's identity secret. Fearing for their own safety, MC's guardian ditched them during a "family outting" and MC has been on their own ever since.

CHARACTER : My Immortals

Story: Grandmother took MC from her mother when she was an infant to give her a somewhat normal life (away from magic). The granny raised MC to think that her parents had both died when she was a baby and granny was the only family left to take her in. Never told her that her mother or father had powers or the truth about any of her family background. Only thing she has is a pendant (talisman?) that was her mother's. The granny owns a Bed & Breakfast, which MC has helped run since she was old enough. MC always felt different but never knew why. Strange things would happen to her as she was growing up (depending on what powers you decide to give her) that she never told anyone about or they'd think she was crazy.  MC somehow finds out her mother is alive and runs away to find her. These things can happen:

• Mother is awful & MC goes back to Grandmother
• Mother is great & MC stays, finally happy with who she is & her place in life.
• Never finds anyone. Either goes back to Grandmother or starts life over.

PLOT: magic time capsule

Something weird happens to FMC on her birthday. When she turns 18/21 (?) she finds a time capsule (or something) buried by her mother that is filled with all sorts of magic things passed down from generation to generation. Finds out that there are others she was supposed to meet up with. They were all born on same day/same time and are part of a major fight for survival against the ultimate bad.

I picture her as a witch. Not sure if the "others" are all witches, too, or if they have their own story as a separate entity (warlock, shape-shifter, vampire, etc..)

CHARACTER TYPE: werewolf

Werewolf: can transform into a wolf. Also have the ability to speak to wolves over either a short OR long distance.

CHARACTER TYPE: dragonkin

Dragonkin: Sprouts 2 wings of silver feathers for flight and can spit/breathe fire

PLOT: "Fall From Grace"

An angel's duty is to guard and watch over it's charges everyday. Naturally, every once in a while there is going to be that one human who's life is so enchanting that even an angel wants to be a part of it. So the angel wants so desperately to be in that person's life that they gives up their immortality to live the life of a human, hoping they can find a way to fit in. There are several scenarios for this:


* Female angel sees how much love and friendship goes on in the human world and wants to be a part of that somehow. Either just to be friends with the human girl that she's in charge of or maybe be included in the family somehow. Or befriends human charge and falls in love with the brother/friend of girl, etc...

* Female angel falls in love with human male that she's in charge of and gives up her immortality to join him on earth. Or vice versa: Male angel falls in love with female charge.

* Evil Angel is so envious of their human charge that they actually devise a plan to try to take over their life. They get kicked out of Heaven or go AWOL. Maybe God sends down a few other immortal characters to intervene and end up saving mortals life.

* Devious angel who gets "grounded" from heaven for being mischievous while upstairs. Has to spend so much time as a mortal as punishment, but ends up liking their mortal life better.

CHARACTER + PLOT: Kiyusa

Kiyusa - she has light brown hair and large blue eyes. She can transform into a doe. She, like a doe, is very timid and shy, although she's trying to get over that.

Possible PLOT idea: She, amongst other shape-shifting creatures, are captured & help captive until they are of use. Their captors force them to change into their animal form and are set free in a specific area that the captors arrange for "hunters" to track and hunt them down.

CHARACTER: Circe

Circe: she is sixteen and has white hair and sapphire eyes. Thanks to a strange genetic twist, she is able to read minds. She looks down on people without special powers.

PLOT: resurrection gone wrong

MC1 simply cannot bare the loss of her sister/best friend/mother/brother. So she frantically searches for a way to bring them back. MC1 gets a hold of a remedy/ritual/etc that brings back her loved one from the dead. Story could go a ton of different ways... 1) Person comes back normal at first, showing up like nothing ever happened. Then slowly starts to become hungry... until finally they're taking off a chunk of mailman flesh as he slips the mail through the slot..... 2) They could come back as something else entirely.... already a zombie that starts the ole' apocalypse scenario....


EDIT: Also can reverse this and write in 1st person... from the point of view of the character that was brought back from the dead. Start with them waking up in coffin and making their way back to home. See the reactions of people who know them, etc....

CHARACTER: Chelsea Camire

Name: Chelsea Camire
Age: 26
She has brownish gold hair and big green eyes. Her clothing choices are usually at the more somber end of the spectrum, but usually in style. She's very friendly and becomes buddies with a stranger very quickly. The one time she allowed a relationship to go beyond friendship she got burned very badly, and keeps herself aloof. She's very organized and practical. However, when it comes to her personal life, she tends to avoid trouble and hope it goes away. She also really likes children, and is taking classes to become an elementary school teacher. Her hobbies include amateur photography, hiking, and reading. In her original story, which was a fantasy, she had a limited amount of magic.

Name: Carley Auberdene

Gender: Female

Personality: Naturally curious, can be very stubborn, will go out of her way to avoid small spaces. Carley often feels overwhelmingly lonely and lives for her job

Hates: Small spaces. She has severe claustrophobia.

Loves: Cherry tarts and apple pie. She also has a soft spot for men with dark chocolate eyes.

Magic Powers: The ability to create doors where there are none.

Physical Description: Grecian facial features. Short black hair, straight with side swept bangs. Cobalt blue eyes. Tan skin (either because of ethnic background or just very tan)

CHARACTER: Cassie

Cassie, age 13/14-ish
Self-absorbed, romanticizes everything especially things morbid, especially suicide. Enjoys planning glamorous methods of suicide but never has any intention of going through with it. She doesn't talk much but is vain and puts a lot of effort into her appearance. She wears a lot of pastel pink. One of her hobbies is writing long letters to people that she will never deliver, just keeps in her notebook that is especially for her letters. She might write letters to her family or a close friend but usually they're to a stranger she hardly knows and has never talked to, or even someone she sees randomly passing on the street who she will never see again, but she comes up with a detailed idea of who this person is and becomes attached to them and writes letters to them. She really likes sparkles. She wears these ridiculous fake eyelashes that are lined with rhinestones. on the lashline if you know what I mean? In my story I started writing about her she burns down her own house thinking oh won't that be fun but then it ends up being sort of a reality check for her, but that's all optional.
