CHARACTER: The Mask

A serial killer who goes by "The Mask."

His greatest strength is his powers of observation. He stalks someone for a year, then on New Year's Eve he murders them and hides the body. He then impersonates his victim for the next year (or until he gets bored living their life) all the while stalking his next kill. When he moves on, his last victim's family and friends find out about the murder- a year after it happened. As a younger man he made a lot of mistakes, so he thinks that doing this gives him second chances at life.

CHARACTER: whisper

Whisper: (Serial killer concept)

She is quite the ball of screwed up. Due to abuse as a child, she has a split personality, Whisper being her dark side that deals with the dregs of this world, her positive half would never be seen as a possible pairing with Whisper. The way she gained the name is that she never speaks above a whisper. Favorite methods of death are modified children's toys. Toy planes that shoot real bullets, exploding dolls, a cricket bat she always has on her...you get the idea.

best part, Whisper knows about her alter, but the positive side does not know about Whisper.

• Passed from son to son. Has been challenged 3x for leadership, won all. Had to kill his own father to gain his position.

• Recently moved his pack to get away from new pack that was doing too much damage & not enough subtlety.

• Alpha fell in love with her immediately & took her in. She's been with him ever since.

Raised to be a lady, but also trained to fight. Extremely calm & cunning. Easily amused, but tires of things quickly. Humans are just toys to her, but she won't cross that boundary & kill them....intentionally.

Backstory:  [Modern Day] Both parents were visibly supernatural & could never fit in anywhere. When wife found out she was pregnant, husband built a cabin/house deep in the forest so they could live a peaceful life. Human found them in woods (you decide how) and brought back a small group of other humans who attack the home. Mother grabs baby & runs for her life as the father (dies? captured?) defending the attackers. Mother hid the baby in the heart of a hollowed out tree. Humans caught up to her and (killed? captured?) her. Didn't know about the baby so they left without looking for it. Baby was found by ......... (the rest is open)

CHARACTER: tween abandoned by guardian

Backstory: A man and woman in a clan (of whichever species you make them) were both pre-arranged to be married to other people. This is how it was in their culture. But being deeply in love with each other, and not wanting to marry their chosen partners, ran away together. They were immediately known as deserters and left themselves open to a life of hiding, as it was only a matter of time before they were hunted down and killed as punishment for breaking the traditions. They managed to escape for a few years and in that time the woman got pregnant and had a baby. When the MC (baby) was 2 years old, its parents were found & killed and they were hidden with a trusted human friend. Everything was fine until MC turned 13 and horns? (open for anything) started to appear. This made it impossible for to keep the MC's identity secret. Fearing for their own safety, MC's guardian ditched them during a "family outting" and MC has been on their own ever since.

CHARACTER : My Immortals

Story: Grandmother took MC from her mother when she was an infant to give her a somewhat normal life (away from magic). The granny raised MC to think that her parents had both died when she was a baby and granny was the only family left to take her in. Never told her that her mother or father had powers or the truth about any of her family background. Only thing she has is a pendant (talisman?) that was her mother's. The granny owns a Bed & Breakfast, which MC has helped run since she was old enough. MC always felt different but never knew why. Strange things would happen to her as she was growing up (depending on what powers you decide to give her) that she never told anyone about or they'd think she was crazy.  MC somehow finds out her mother is alive and runs away to find her. These things can happen:

• Mother is awful & MC goes back to Grandmother
• Mother is great & MC stays, finally happy with who she is & her place in life.
• Never finds anyone. Either goes back to Grandmother or starts life over.

CHARACTER: Maureen (Mo) Hadley

Maureen (Mo) Hadley - 34

Medium-sized curvy blond with big eyes and an even bigger smile. She married her high-school sweetheart who happened to be the quarterback of the football team, Everyone thought he was going to make it big until he hyper-extended his knee, putting an end to his football career along with Maureen's dreams of becoming the coveted trophy wife. They stayed in town, and he took over at his father's car dealership, still giving them a decent life but still not the one she expected. Always perfectly made up and color coordinated, there was a hint of longing behind her plastered on smile. Due to an unfortunate need to have a hysterectomy at an early age, she can no longer have children and tries to make up for that by keeping herself as busy as possible within the community. She's a huge social flower and knows everyone and everything that goes on in the town.

I originally thought of her to help a fellow NaNoer out, but they will be making significant changes, if even using her at all, so she's still available for anyone else!

CHARACTER: twin sisters Pepper & Bee

Name: Penelope Cotton
Nickname: Pepper
Age: 14-15
Personality: Pepper is sweet, friendly and immature. She's very idealistic and expects the world to be fair. She's the older twin, but she is treated like a baby most of the time. She loves art, especially sculpting. Pepper also enjoys cooking, which she is spectacularly bad at, and has a penchant for adding far too much spice. She's a little naive and relies on her sister for a lot of things.
Appearance: Pepper has shoulder-length curly blond hair and blue eyes. She's about 5"5 and wears bright colors with paint-splattered jeans and is almost always smiling.

Name: Beatrice Cotton
Nickname: Bee (family only)
Age: 14-15
Personality: Beatrice is the responsible twin. She's a little resentful of Pepper for needing so much looking after and making friends so easily. Beatrice struggles to trust people, loves jazz music, and gets reasonable grades without doing much studying. She mostly focuses on looking after other people, and always thinks things through.
Appearance: Beatrice has short curly blond hair which is always tied in an inch-long ponytail, a heart-shaped face and blue eyes. She loves skinny jeans.

History: When they were two, their mother left to travel the world. Their father was heartbroken. Growing up, their aunt (their mother's sister) was their mother figure. Recently their father has started dating again, which Pepper and Beatrice are not happy about.

A serial killer who takes the identity of their victims. Has lived so long in other people's lives that theirs is a distant memory.

CHARACTER + PLOT: Kiyusa

Kiyusa - she has light brown hair and large blue eyes. She can transform into a doe. She, like a doe, is very timid and shy, although she's trying to get over that.

Possible PLOT idea: She, amongst other shape-shifting creatures, are captured & help captive until they are of use. Their captors force them to change into their animal form and are set free in a specific area that the captors arrange for "hunters" to track and hunt them down.

CHARACTER: Circe

Circe: she is sixteen and has white hair and sapphire eyes. Thanks to a strange genetic twist, she is able to read minds. She looks down on people without special powers.

CHARACTER: Marco

His first name is Marco, I never came up with a last name for him. He has dark skin, black hair, brown eyes. He's about 35, medium height, appears to work out a little. He is a librarian. He is very unfriendly, and sends death glares across the library if anybody so much as coughs. He spends most of his time behind the desk scowling. He has a soft spot for small children and animals. He brings his dog to work with him every day, and everyone is too afraid of him to say anything about it to his boss. The dog is a black lab named Bookworm, is very friendly, and will grab random books off the shelf and bring them to people.

CHARACTER: Olive "Olly" Starr

Olive "Olly" Starr
22 years old Has long dirty blonde hair, dark brown eyes, and a heart shaped birthmark on her left shoulder blade. She is 1/4 korean.
Olly never wears jeans, she owns two pairs of Stich onesies she bought off eBay, and enjoys hanging out with boys way too much for it to be healthy. She is very direct with people, to the point where, should a boy be ridiculous enough to say something like "I saw you underwear", she'd probably reply with "Yeah, it's pink, want a better look?". Olly likes to say that her brain is a slut, but her body is not; she is often found to be a bit rude, and is highly unapologetic about it.

She has brownish gold hair and big green eyes. Her clothing choices are usually at the more somber end of the spectrum, but usually in style. She's very friendly and becomes buddies with a stranger very quickly. The one time she allowed a relationship to go beyond friendship she got burned very badly, and keeps herself aloof. She's very organized and practical. However, when it comes to her personal life, she tends to avoid trouble and hope it goes away. She also really likes children, and is taking classes to become an elementary school teacher. Her hobbies include amateur photography, hiking, and reading. In her original story, which was a fantasy, she had a limited amount of magic.

Joey has recently been outed as gay to his stepfather, and as a result, was brutally attacked by both his stepfather and older stepbrother, Tonio. (The stepfather is never actually introduced in the course of the storyline.) Following the attack, he moved his belongings from his stepfather's house and disappeared. At this time (that he knows of) he has no living family -- his mother died a year prior to the attack and he has no memories of any further family on either side. He's been living on the streets of Tucson ever since.

While living on the streets has inspired a rougher, "I can take on the world" mentality, he has a softer side. Too, due to the abuse he suffered, he's relentless when it comes to people -- especially small children -- being abused, and while he may not look it, he's taught himself to be more than capable at taking down a bigger target using any moves (fair or foul) at his disposal when he feels someone's life or safety is at stake. In rough fights, he carries something he calls a Smiley, a bandanna tied to a padlock, which he's more or less proficient at.

Fit, about 4' 00", quiet, strong, observant, and stubborn.
In my story, she was subjected to genetic experimentation which gave her large bird wings, but you can take either version of her.

Male, 8
Spiky brown hair, pale skin, blue eyes
Slim but not particularly muscled, about 3' 5", innocent, measured, crafty, and tough.
Chrystoph takes care of him like a mother- if you've read Maximum Ride, the relationship between them is a lot like that. In my story, he broke Chrystoph out of the science lab after she'd been captured, which left him with scars on his left arm and torso.

CHARACTER: Elsie

Sex: Female

Elsie is a extremely clever, but she is also a power crazed maniac who will not stop until she has the top job wherever she works. she is more than willing to take you down to get there and has been known to try and sabotage rivals by throwing office implements at then across the room (think pencil javelins) and when she looses her temper, she likes to break valuables. All her rage seems to magically disappear whenever a superior who might promote her enters the room, unless she believes she can terrify them into doing it.

CHARACTER: "Silky"

Silky-- a giant spider, the size of a Terrier dog or a Corgi. She can't speak english, but she can understand it. She's intelligent, friendly, and loyal; she adores her owner. Enjoys getting belly rubs and having her long, silky fur brushed. Has a habit of bringing her owner small animals that she's caught (she even gift-wraps them in spider silk).

* Ideally, Silky should have a loving owner. Like, an owner who thinks it's adorable whenever the spider brings him/her a dead animal, and will spend up to an hour rubbing her belly and saying what a "cutesy-wutesy little spider" she is! The owner should also be oblivious to people's discomfort around the giant spider.

CHARACTER: Alex Campbell

Name: Alex Campbell

Age: 26

Appearance: Eyes the color of gray skies after it rains. Brown hair that he never manages to get the curl out of, looking slightly disheveled at the best of times. Neatly trimmed mustache and goatee. He wears thick sweaters (in winter) and t-shirts (in summer) and faded jeans.

Description of past:
When Alex was 20 he fell in love with the girl of his dreams. When he was 21 he found her in bed with his best friend.

After a year of licking his wounds and learning to trust again, Alex fell in love with a psychology major with the most beautiful smile. She taught him to not be afraid of sharing his feelings and that seeing a shrink is a good way to resolve some of your issues. Six months later Alex arrived at his psychologist's office early and found his girlfriend undressed and under the Doctor.

Dumping the girl, and finding a new psychologist, Alex decided that if all women were just tramps and cheaters he could still spend time with them, but he wouldn't fall in love with them again. Since that time Alex has gone through innumerable girls and relationships that last no longer than a few months before he dumps them. Some girls only last long enough to be a one night stand.

Personality: He can be very caring, but because he has been burned so many times, he is cautious around new people.

Loves: dogs, Indian food, drive-in movies, and clear summer nights

Hates: seafood, fixing broken pipes, & cheating girlfriends

Biggest flaw: He is distrustful of women, and has a difficult time connecting with people ever since his best friend betrayed him.

One thing he wants more than anything in the world: He thinks it is to live the high life as a rich bachelor, but what he really wants is to find a girl he can trust.
